Citizen Schools 2011 Fall WOW!

The H.E.A.R.T. Martial Arts class and Citizen Schools students put together an incredible WOW! for all the parents and students to enjoy at the Newark Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School.

The WOW! showcased the students' various volunteer accomplishments over the course of the 2011 Fall semester. Among their many volunteer objectives the students did a great job creating handmade toys for the animals at the Jersey Animal Coalition. If this were not enough, the class worked together as a team to make a BIG difference for the residents at the Sierra House (a local women's shelter located in East Orange) collecting and packing various clothes and household items.

Many thanks to all of the Citizen Schools Staff members that helped as well!
