Martial Arts is really life changing. Our sensei Jim worked really hard to teach us these difficult, defending techniques ( don't blame me if i spelled that wrong) that can make a difference. We are truely making a difference with the fighting, but also the community services. I want to give a HUGE OSU to sensei Jim for all of his work and support for all of us. Your the best sensei Jim, your the best sensei i ever had: knowing your the only sensei i ever had or known. But either, way thanks alot sensei Jim. You really changed my life. Osu.
I must apologize for not responding to this comment sooner. I almost missed it, luckily during my updates to the blog I noticed it.
This means a lot to me, to see someone connect with the Martial Arts and have a true passion for learning and sharing is the whole reason that I am doing this. My first Sensei put my best friend and I to work at the dojo (school) to earn our classes. Later he gave us a job and taught us a trade (actually several from carpentry to masonry) he did all of this from the kindness of his heart, hence the name of the program H.E.A.R.T. Martial Arts.
H.E.A.R.T. is a free Community Martial Arts Program. What is unique about this program is that the children have agreed to perform volunteer service work for other local and national nonprofit organizations to "earn" their lessons. The children will truly be building their Spirit/Character as they give from their hearts to help others. H.E.A.R.T. represents Honor, Equality, Appreciation, Respect, and Trust, it is our hope to teach the children that they are empowered to make changes in their lives as well as the community in which they reside. H.E.A.R.T. — Martial Arts — We're Fighting To Make A Difference. H.E.A.R.T. was founded by Sensei Jim Hainis in an effort to give to others what was so freely given to him by his past teachers and instructors. Sensei Jim has trained in the Martial Arts since he was young child first as a Judoka and later as Karate practitioner and later still as a novice grappler. In all Sensei Jim has been practicing, and continues to practice, the Mart Arts for 26 years. In addition, Sensei Jim has been teaching for the past 16 years, sharing his passion with everyone around him.
