A H.E.A.R.T.pounding WOW!

From our community service work to our Martial Arts training the H.E.A.R.T. Martial Arts class has put their Sweat and Spirit into everything they have accomplished as a team. This has all culminated in a showcase video and performance that resulted in a H.E.A.R.T.pounding Citizen Schools WOW!

With all the excitement and energy of performing in front of a packed auditorium the Citizen Schools and H.E.A.R.T. Martial Arts students had the crowd cheering. Spirits were soaring and boards were flying as the students made easy work of the board breaks. Everyone did a great job with the Katas as well, I am very proud of all of you. GREAT JOB!!!! I'm looking forward to the next round of training and remember you can make a difference, just put your H.E.A.R.T. into it!!!!

OSU!

A special thank you to all the Parents, Teachers, Friends and Family. A big OSU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to the students, Mr. Max and the Mr. Aaron!!!

  3. Sensei Dennis,

Thank you for the kind words, support and friendship. You are the inspiration behind my wanting to do this. The difference you made in my life as well as Aaron's cannot be measured. I can only hope that I will inspire others in the same way.

    Melissa,

You did it! See, I knew you could... just a little stage fright, but now you know in your heart that you can do it.

I hope that you and everyone else sign up in February for the next round! It means a lot to me to have students such as yourself, who connect with the Martial Arts. Just remember that what you learn in class, aside from the physical techniques, can be applied to all other walks (areas) of your life. Remember what OSU means!?

    OSU means:

Patience - being able to tolerate a difficult task, maintaining your focus and keeping your mind and actions concentrated on your end goal as well as the task at hand.

Respect - you give respect to others in recognition of their hard work and good character and in return you receive respect in recognition of your hard work and good character.

Spirit - your willingness to press on when things become difficult; your ability to reach deep down inside and give 100,000,000% not just a hundred; your energy and attitude that just spill over into everything you try and do; your Spirit cannot be measured but it most certainly can be felt.

Appreciation - being thankful for what one has; being grateful for what has been taught to you; for and recognition of what you are capable of doing and sharing with and for others.

    Happy New Year!

    OSU!
